OUTREACH TO GISHIRI COMMUNITY IN AMAC AREA COUNCIL
Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative in conjunction with CHEN INITIATIVE, and the FOURSQUARE ABUJA AXIS TEENS, in celebration of OLUSOLA ORESANYA's 50th BIRTHDAY (THE CEO CHEN INITIATIVE), marked with the purpose of an outreach-visitation to this community, alongside volunteers went on an outreach visit to GISHIRI community is a settlement along Mabuchi express way in AMAC Area Council on the 26th of October 2024 to deliver packs of care.
This community has a chief as its community head.
Both Muslims and Christians dominate in this community.
GISHIRI community is about 15km from the city center, and it’s estimated to have a population of over 200,000 people including women, youths, and children.
The main and common occupation in this community is Farming.

OUTREACH TO KILANKWA COMMUNITY IN KWALI AREA COUNCIL
The CEO, of Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative Mrs. Olusola Idowu, and her team and volunteers went on an outreach visit to KILANKWA community in Kwali Area Council on the 12th of October 2024 to deliver packs of care.
This community has a chief as its community head.
Both Muslims and Christians dominate in this community.
KILANKWA community is about 38km from the city center, and it’s estimated to have a population of over 270,000 people including women, youths, and children.
The main and common occupation in this community is Farming
Access to water and electricity is a major challenge faced by residents in Kilankwa community.
60 beneficiaries were mapped and 50 packs of care were distributed

OUTREACH TO IGU COMMUNITY IN BWARI AREA COUNCIL
The CEO, of Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative Mrs. Olusola Idowu, and her team together with volunteers went on an outreach visit to IGU community in Bwari Area Council on the 7th of September 2024 to deliver packs of care.
IGU community is a settlement after Veritas University in Bwari LGA
This community is headed by a chief. Both Muslims and Christians dominates this community.
IGU community is about 20km from the city center, and it’s estimated to have a population of over 400,000 people including women, youths and children.
The main and common occupation in this community is Farming.
Access to water and electricity is a major challenge faced by residents in IGU community.
76 packs of care were distributed.
The Beneficiaries were all pleased to receive their packs. Our sincere appreciation to donors and volunteers.
OUTREACH TO GUITA, KUZHAKO, AND GUTO COMMUNITIES IN BWARI AREA COUNCIL
The CEO, of Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative Mrs. Olusola Idowu, and her team together with volunteers went on an outreach visit to Guita, Kuzhako, and Guto communities in Bwari Area Council on the 16th of March 2024 to deliver packs of care.
Visiting these communities required going through long rough and sometimes narrow bush paths. We eventually made it there.
The main and common occupation in these communities is farming. Each community had a recognised village Chief.
Total of 78 beneficiaries were mapped and 78 packs of care were distributed as follows;
1. 19 packs of care to Guita community
2. 24 Packs of care to Khzhako community
3. 35 packs of care to Guto community.
The Beneficiaries were all very happy to receive their packs.
OUTREACH COLLABORATION WITH DUFIL PRIMA FOODS LIMITED TO GODOJI, WUMI, TONDO AND SHAZHI COMMUNITIES IN KUJE AREA COUNCIL
We are pleased to announce that DUFIL Prima Foods Limited collaborated with Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative during our outreach to GODOJI, WUMI, TONDO and SHAZHI communities. DUFIL supported with the distribution of 400 Indomie packs for each household mapped. The outreach took place on Wednesday 17th of April 2024. DUFIL PRIMA FOODS LTD also came with a mobile food truck/kitchen which was used to serve the communities hot Indomie meals.
The Indomie outreach program exemplifies our commitment to creating positive change and nurturing communities. Through targeted interventions, collaborative partnerships, and a focus on education and empowerment, we strive to make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve. We look forward to building on these efforts and continuing to support communities in need.

2ND OUTREACH TO CHIBIRI COMMUNITY IN KUJE AREA COUNCIL
The CEO, of Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative Mrs. Olusola Idowu, and her team together with volunteers paid a second visit to Chibiri Community in Kuje Area Council on the 13th of April 2024 to deliver packs of care. The first visit was on the 19th of August 2023.
CHIBIRI community is about 45km from the city center, and it’s estimated to have a population of over 550,000 people including women, youths and children.
The main and common occupation in this community is Farming.
Total of 60 beneficiaries were mapped and 69 packs of care was distributed
The Beneficiaries were all very happy to receive their packs.

2ND OUTREACH TO WUMI & TONDO COMMUNITIES IN KUJE AREA COUNCIL
The CEO, of Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative Mrs. Olusola Idowu, and her team together with volunteers paid a second visit to Wumi and Tondo Communities in Kuje Area Council on the 13th of April 2024 to deliver packs of care. The first visit was on the 21st of February 2023.
The main occupation in both WUMI and TONDO is farming.
Total of 76packs of care were distributed as follows
35 beneficiaries was mapped and 35 bags of care given out in WUMI.
41 beneficiaries was mapped and 41 bags of care given out in TONDO.
The Beneficiaries were all very happy to receive their packs.

GHAFBI went on 2nd Outreach mission to KETTI community a settlement in Abuja Municipal Area Council on the 30th of March 2024.
The CEO, of Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative Mrs. Olusola Idowu, and her team together with volunteers paid a second visit to Ketti Community in Abuja Municipal Area Council on the 23rd of March 2024 to deliver packs of care. The first visit was on the 28th of January 2023.
KETTI is a small sparsely populated community located in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) FCT. It’s about 10 km away from the city center. The community comprises of the nine (9) different tribes in the FCT
On this visit, 79 packs of care were distributed to 79 beneficiaries in Ketti.
The Beneficiaries were all very happy to receive their packs.

2nd Outreach to KETTI Community in Abuja Municipal Area Council
GHAFBI went on 2nd Outreach mission to LEDI community a settlement in Gwagwalada Area Council on the 9th of March 2024.
The CEO, of Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative Mrs. Olusola Idowu, and her team together with volunteers paid a second visit to Ledi 1 and Ledi 2 Communities in Gwagwalada Area Council on the 23rd of March 2024 to deliver packs of care. The first visit was in September 2023
LEDI community is a settlement in GWAGWALADA LGA.
On this visit, packs of care were distributed to 34 beneficiaries in LEDI 1 and 34 in LEDI 1 making a total of 68 packs.
The Beneficiaries were all very happy to receive their packs.

GHAFBI went on an Outreach mission to IJAH community is a settlement in Kwali LGA. on the 3rd of February 2024.
The CEO, of Golan Helps Abuja Food Bank Initiative Mrs. Olusola Idowu, and her team together with 9 Volunteers visited Ijah Community 1 and 2 in Kwali Area Council on the 3rd of February 2024 to deliver packs of care. This is the second outreach visit to these two communities.
IJAH is a small sparsely populated community located in KWALI area council FCT. It’s about 50 km away from the city center. The community comprises nine (9) different tribes in the FCT which are Amwamwa, Bassa, Egbira, Gade, Ganagana, Gbagyi, Gbari, Gwandara, and Kor
The main occupation in IJAH community is farming. There is a primary school and secondary school located in the community (LEA)
104 packs of care were shared to beneficiaries from both in Ijah 1 & 2.
The vulnerable, and the got their packages, and they were all happy and filled with joy.

YEAR END 2023 OUTREACH
Outreach to LEDI Community 1 and 2 in Gwagwalada Area Council
GHAFBI went on an Outreach mission to LEDI community is a settlement in Gwagwalada Area Council n the 9th of September 2023.
LEDI 1&2 communities are settlements in GWAGWALADA LGA.
These communities are headed by chiefs.
Both Muslims and Christians dominate these communities. 34 beneficiaries were mapped, and 34 packs of care were distributed in LEDI 1 while 34 beneficiaries were mapped and 33 packs of care were distributed in LEDI 2. The total distributed was 67 packs.
KIADA is the community we were supposed to go to initially, but due to a bad road network, we weren’t able to get through.The CEO of GOLAN HELPS INITIATIVES asked the chief of KAIDA to come out to the teaching hospital at Gwagwalada with the vulnerable. There, 12 beneficiaries were mapped, and 12 packs of care were distributed.
Ledi community is about 68km from the city center, and their main and common occupation in this community is farming.
Water and light are basic challenges faced by residents in the LEDI communities.
Outreach to Chibiri Community in Kuje Area Council
GHAFBI went on an Outreach mission to Chibiri community is a settlement in Kuje Area Council on the 19th August 2023.
Chibiri community is a settlement in KUJE LGA.
This community is headed by a chief. Both Muslims and Christians dominates this community. 66 beneficiaries were mapped and 66 packs of care was distributed. Chibiri community is about 45km from the city center, and it’s estimated to have a population of over 550,000 people including women, youths and children.The main and common occupation in this community is Farming.

KILANKWA community is a settlement after ‘Alone with God’ junction in Kwali LGA.
Our team successfully mapped 55 beneficiaries and 55 packs of care was distributed

This community has a chief that is recognised as the head. The main and common occupation in this community is Farming.
Outreach to Kilankwa Community in Kwali Area Council
GHAFBI went on an Outreach mission to KUCHI CHA CHA community is a settlement after Gwagwalada in Kwali LGA. on the 22nd of July 2023.
Our team successfully mapped 40 beneficiaries and 40 packs of care was distributed.
Kuchi cha cha community is about 32km from the city center, and it’s estimated to have a population of over 130,000 people including women, youths and children.
This community has a chief that is recognised as the head. The main and common occupation in this community is Farming.

Outreach to Kuchi Cha Cha Community in Kwali Area Council
GHAFBI went on an Outreach mission to IGU Community in Bwari Area Council on the 24th of June 2023.
IGU community is a settlement after Veritas University in Bwari LGA. The community is headed by a chief whose name is HRM Ibrahim Ali Both Muslims and Christians dominates this community.
GHAFBI successfully distributed packs of care to 100 beneficiaries who were mapped and enumerated in the community. IGU community is about 20km from the city center, and it’s estimated to have a population of over 400,000 people including women, youths and children.
Their main and common occupation is farming. The community has a challenge with Water and electricity.
Outreach to Igu Community in Bwari Area Council
THE GHAFBI URBAN FAMILY FARMING TRAINING PROGRAMME WAS A GREAT SUCCESS
GHAFBI organised an Urban Family Training Program on the 27th of May 2023. The programme had over 80 participants who took part in the training.
KWALI AREA COUNCIL OUTREACH TO IJAH COMMUNITIES 1 AND 2
Golan Helps visited Ijah 1 and Ijah 2 communities in KWALI Area Council on the 11th of May 2023. The communities are headed by village chiefs. We distributed bags of care to 61 beneficiaries in Ijah 1 community and 59 bags of care to beneficiaries in Ijah 2 community making a total of 120 bags.
The community is about 30 kilometres from the city center with over 200,000 people residing in in the two IJAH communities. Farming is the major occupation in these communities. It has a poor road network and there is scarcity of water coupled with poor electricity supply.
Insecurity is also a challenge which the local authorities need pay attention to secure lives and property of people living in the community.
Outreach to Kwali Area Council
GHAFBI went on an Outreach mission to Pagada and Dobi Communities in Gwagwalada Area Council on the 15th of April 2023.
Pagada community is about 50 kiliomters away from the city center. The community comprises of the nine (9) different tribes in the FCT which are Amwamwa, Bassa, Egbira, Gade, Ganagana, Gbagyi, Gbari, Gwandara and Koro.
PAGADA is a small sparsely populated community located in Gwagalada area council. We met with the village chief whose name is HRH Sule Dogo, a primary and a Secondary School.
GHAFBI successfully distributed 88 food care packs to vulnerable households in the community.
Outreach to Gwagwalada Area Council
GHAFBI went on an outreach mission to Guita, Kuzhako and Guto village in Bwari Area council on the 16th March 2023. The villages are linked by bumpy roads after cutting off from a detour from Duste-Bwari highway.
Occupation: Farming is the main occupation in the villages.
Each village has a village head. Our team worked with the villages heads and stakeholders to identify and enumerate the vulnerable beneficiaries.
The villages benefit from had power supply and other amenities.
During our visit, we successfully distributed our GOLAN Care packs to 88 households. A big thank you to our volunteers and donors who made it a success.

We were at GODOJI community (WUMI AND TONDO) in Kuje LGA to distribute food packs to vulnerable households on Tuesday 21st of February 2023.
76 food packs were successfully distributed.
